There is a Fairy Garden Contest 2012 going on over at "
The Magic Onions" and if you haven't seen all of their gardens you gotta go and see. Also if you have one, or get inspired to create one for the Fairies in your life - take a picture and send it on over. Here are Two gardens created by my Grands - 5 year old twin girls and their little brother who is 3 and 1/2 going on 4 and 1/2 (he says).
The photos are first of the creation of the "Garden" then after it was placed out in the "Forest" for the fairies. The Fairies do stop by and pick up the shiny objects and sometimes leave treasures in return.
Second the kids created a vacation spot for the Fairies. [You can click on each photo to see a larger more detailed photo] -
I don't know the categories but the First Fairy Garden was done by the kids with their Mother - the seaside resort was done with me (Gabby - their version of grandmother) and i definately fit in the SENIOR category. The entry says there are categories for everyone! isn't that wonderful : )
Then the kids thought they would create a Seaside vacation spot in case the Fairies wanted a holiday.
If you have never created a fairy garden, you should try it. It is a very fun and inspiring project and i find we are always adding and making more and viewing all objects for the next "Garden". Thanks for stopping by.
